Bioraculous - The White Paper Bioraculous is an amazing product. Miraculous really. People can’t believe that a green drink can taste so good - and children love it. They are use to brand X green drinks that either taste like dirt, the pond out back, or like a bunch of lawn clippings from the last lawn mow. This is a product with: No fractionated synthetic vitamins, artificial flavors or chemical sweeteners. No added sugars, fructose, sucralose or corn syrup. No binders, fillers or flow additives. No magnesium stearate, vegetable gum, titanium dioxide. Just good food that mixes into water and tastes great. Fruit juice is not required nor recommended. If you are interested in health, there are some things you might like to know about the ingredients in Bioraculous. First, there is not a mix of fruit and vegetables in Bioraculous. Herbalists will tell you that is not the best, however, vegetables and berries are a different matter and are perfectly compatible with each other. Bioraculous is an amazing secret mix of greens and berries - and in part that is what provides the awesomely good taste. There are some other things to know. Let’s start with greens. We all know we need to eat more greens. Good greens. Greens with power - like in power nutrition. In Bioraculous you’ll find: Barley Grass Juice Powder Chlorella Spirulina Alfalfa Concentrace™ All of the above contain some of the highest alkaline pH factors available in food. They also contain large amounts of natural chlorophyll and an antioxidant enzyme called superoxide dismutase. Powerful greens. In our green blend we also put in a pinch of natural trace minerals. Natural health clinics around the world have seen miracles in health occur with trace mineral supplementation - the consensus seems to be that we just don’t get enough from a commonly mineral deficient food supply and research seems to bear that out. Getting a little mineral supplementation everyday is another form of health insurance - or health assurance. Minerals are the building blocks of the body, fall short and the body starts falling apart. For youngsters, mineral shortages mean they don’t build healthy bodies or brains the way they should. Lignans. Yep, Bioraculous contains SDG Flax Lignans (secoisolariciresinol diglucoside). Lignans are a group of phytonutrients that are found in seeds and grains. Flax seed is by far nature’s richest source of plant lignans. Other sources of lignans such as rye, buckwheat, millet, soya and barley, yield 2 to 6 micrograms of lignans per gram of grain. Flax seed yields an extraordinary 800 micrograms. While the essential fatty acids are in the oil of the flax seed, the lignans are found in the fiber shell of the seed. The oil contains less than 2% of the flax seed lignans. It takes nearly twenty five pounds of flax seed to produce just 4 ounces of flax lignans. Until recently, SDG existed in such small concentrations that no one was fully aware of its miraculous qualities. While the oil in the flaxseed is a big percentage of the seed, the SDG lignan is but a small fraction of the seed composition. Modern extraction methods have brought to light the tremendous health benefits associated with lignans. These amazing lignan compounds have shown such extraordinary potential that they have been studied by the National Cancer Institute for their cancer preventative properties. The SDG lignan not only has anti-cancer properties, it also has anti-viral, anti-bacterial, and anti-fungal properties. It has been shown to enhance immune system functioning, and is effective against many different diseases. Since 1995 we have seen several health products with the word “lignan” on the label. Names such as “High Lignan Flax Seed Oil” or something similar. But when these products were tested by North Dakota University, they contained practically no lignans at all. That is expected since the lignans are not in the oil. Other flax oil products state that they contain a certain percentage of lignan particulates, ex. “20% lignan particulates”. This does not mean it contains 20% lignans. This means that 20% of the product is made up of pieces of the flax fiber shell which contain the lignans. But since the fiber meal consists of about 1.6% lignans, such a product would contain only .35% lignans. Other products say they have “up to 30% more lignans than whole flax seed”. These are essentially products consisting mostly of the defatted flax fiber without the oil. There is no concentration or extract of lignans. Such a product thus contains about 1.6% lignans. Due to the tremendous health benefits lignans have to offer, many health companies have tried to capitalize by offering lignan products. They were able to get the word lignan on the label, but little of it in the product. The difficulty in offering flax lignans lies in the process of separating the SDG lignan from the flax seed hull, which adheres tightly to the embryo. Bioraculous has over 200mg of flax lignans per serving. One process of lignan extraction developed by the University of Toronto uses chemicals such as methanol, petroleum ether, chloroform, sodium methoxide and sulfuric acid. The process used to extract the flax lignans used in Bioraculous is “mechanical extraction”, not chemical extraction. Lecithin. This is an antioxidant. It is a mixture of fatty and fat-like substances that your body cells need to stay healthy. Lecithin is produced daily by the liver if one's diet is adequate. It is needed by every cell in the body and is a key building block of cell membranes. Lecithin protects cells from oxidation and largely comprises the protective sheaths surrounding the brain. It is composed mostly of B vitamins, phosphoric acid, choline, linoleic acid and inositol. Although it is a fatty substance, it is also a fat emulsifier (breaks down fat) and therefore, supports the circulatory system. Its choline is useful for making acetylcholine. Lecithin can be taken when there is difficulty in digesting fat. Lecithin also helps to prevent arteriosclerosis, improves brain function, protects against cardiovascular disease and aids in the absorption of vitamin A by the intestine and thiamine by the liver. It is needed to help repair damage to the liver caused by alcoholism. Lecithin, phosphatidylcholine, phosphatidylethanolamine-call it cell protection, call it brain protection - some call this brain food. Probiotics. Pro = for, biotic = life. Probiotics are the healthy, life supporting and enhancing living bacteria that inhabit the intestinal tract. They are also called the intestinal flora. The average adult has 3 to 4 pounds worth. They have a job to perform and without them life would be impossible. ∙ They manufacture some of the B vitamins including niacin (B3), pyridoxine (B6), folic acid, and biotin. ∙ They manufacture the milk-digesting enzyme, lactase, which helps digest calcium- rich dairy products. ∙ They actively produce antibacterial substances which kill or deactivate hostile, disease-causing bacteria. They do this by changing the local (intestinal) levels of acidity, by depriving pathogenic (disease-causing) bacteria of their nutrients, or by actually producing their own antibiotic substances which can kill invading bacteria, viruses, and yeasts. Naturally enough they are doing this to preserve "their" territory. ∙ Some bacteria (such as bifidobacteria and acidophilus) have been shown to have powerful anticarcinogenic features which are active against certain tumors. ∙ They improve the efficiency of the digestive tract. When they are weakened, bowel function is poor. ∙ They effectively help to reduce high cholesterol levels. ∙ They help protect against radiation damage and deactivate many toxic pollutants. ∙ They help to recycle estrogen (a female hormone), which reduces the likelihood of menopausal symptoms and osteoporosis. ∙ Therapeutically they have been shown to be useful in treatment of acne, psoriasis, eczema, allergies, migraine, gout (by reducing uric acid levels), rheumatic and arthritic conditions, cystitis, candidiasis, colitis, irritable bowel syndrome, and some forms of cancer. Probiotics are big news these days and it seems folks are starting to catch on to their power, also that probiotics can be affected by certain circumstances. Good bacteria are influenced by the degree of infection by yeast and other “bad” bacteria to which the bowel can be subjected, and certain drugs, especially antibiotics, can severely upset probiotic life. (Penicillin and tetracycline will kill friendly probiotic bacteria just as efficiently as they will kill disease-causing bacteria). Steroids and hormonal drugs such as cortisone, ACTH, prednisone, and birth control pills, and exposure to other chemicals like chlorine in tap water also cause damage to healthy bowel flora. When bad bacteria step into the places where the good bacteria should exist, problems can ensue. Bioraculous everyday gives you a probiotic fix. Enzymes. An enzyme is said to be a protein molecule. Each type of enzyme acts in certain ways in the body, doing specific jobs such as digesting food, building protein in the bones and skin, and aiding detoxification, to name a few. We usually think of enzymes as involved only in digesting our food so we can absorb it. But enzymes do much more than that. The functioning of our immune system, bloodstream, liver, kidneys, spleen, and pancreas, as well as our ability to see, think, and breathe depend upon enzymes. The lack of them in any of these areas can prove to be detrimental. Realizing that the lack of enzymes can be a predisposing cause of disease substantiates their importance. Enzymes break down toxic substances so that the body can eliminate them without damaging the eliminative organs. Enzymes are said to be powerful inflammatory fighters and inflammation lies behind a lot of the breakdown and aging processes of life. Bioraculous contains a generous amount of life supporting enzymes with every serving. Mangosteen anyone? Very popular these days. You’ll find it in Bioraculous. The mangosteen is a purple fruit the size of a small apple, with a hard rind. Inside there are typically five to seven seeds surrounded by a sweet, juicy cover (or aril). The pulp, which is said to resemble a pineapple or peach in taste, is reputed to be a very delicious food. In Asia it is sometimes called ‘the queen of fruits’ in honor of both its flavor and its antioxidant benefits. Foods that score high in an antioxidant analysis called ORAC may protect cells and their components from oxidative damage, according to studies of animal and human blood at the Agricultural Research Service's Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging at Tufts University in Boston. ARS is the chief scientific agency of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Let’s talk more about ORAC. ORAC, the acronym for Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity, is a test tube analysis that measures the total antioxidant power of foods and other chemical substances. Early findings suggest that eating plenty of high-ORAC fruits and vegetables--such as spinach and blueberries - and mangosteen - may help slow the processes associated with aging in both body and brain. "If these findings are borne out in further research, young and middle-aged people may be able to reduce their risks of aging diseases - including senility - simply by adding high-ORAC foods to their diets," said ARS Administrator Floyd P. Horn. In the studies, eating plenty of high-ORAC foods: ∙ Raised the antioxidant power of human blood 10 to 25 percent ∙ Prevented some loss of long-term memory and learning ability in middle-aged rats ∙ Maintained the ability of brain cells in middle-aged rats to respond to a chemical stimulus--a function that normally decreases with age ∙ Protected rats' tiny blood vessels--capillaries--against oxygen damage Dr. Ronald Prior of ARS contends, "If we can show some relationship between ORAC intake and health outcome in people, I think we may reach a point where the ORAC value will become a new standard for good antioxidant protection." He further reports that "a significant increase in antioxidants of 15 to 20 percent is possible by increasing consumption of fruits and vegetables, particularly those high in ORAC value." However, in order to have a significant impact on plasma and tissue antioxidant capacity, one can only meaningfully increase one's daily intake by 3,000 to 5,000 ORAC units. Any greater amount is probably redundant. That is because the antioxidant capacity of the blood is tightly regulated. Thus, there is an upper limit to the benefit that can be derived from antioxidants. Taking in 25,000 ORAC units at one time would be no more beneficial than taking in a fifth of that amount: the excess is simply excreted by the kidneys. This is why Bioraculous contains the maximum likely useable amount or ORAC units in each serving. Along with everything else, Bioraculous is simply - miraculous. It is the best green drink in the world.
